USS Celt
NCC-93559
Light Cruiser
Crew: 200

Original Crew
Commanding Officer: Lieutenant Seth Drake
First Officer: Ensign Sun Bakk
Medical Officer: Ensign Kari Suter
Chief Engineer: Ensign Horatio Chen
Security Chief: Ensign V'Lock

The USS Celt is one of the old war horses of the Fleet. By the time it was placed under the command of Lieutenant Seth Drake it had been modified, repaired and patched so many times it bore little resemblance to the classic ShiKhar class of light cruiser.
The USS Celt’s two watchwords were adaptability and functionality. It could handle itself in combat but could also carry out other roles as dictated by Starfleet Command. However, as Lieutenant Drake’s aptitude for combat saw the ship relied on more and more for encounters with pirates and smugglers as well as the Klingons, Gorn and Borg it was clear the USS Celt was rapidly becoming unfit for purpose.
When the USS Celt finally needed major repairs, work was almost complete on the USS Spartan designed by Drake, his first officer Sun Bakk and chief engineer Horatio Chen.

UPDATE: The USS Celt is undergoing extensive repairs after its crew valiantly repelled overwhelming Klingon forces from a Federation outpost. The Celt’s chief engineer Horatio Chen has been seconded to Sol Station to oversee the work.
Lieutenant Commander Chen will also be leading a small team investigating how Borg weaponry can be adapted for Federation use using the technology recovered during the rescue of Lieutenant Janet Stockwell (currently known as Six of Nine) from the Borg by Lieutenant Commander Seth Drake and the crew of the USS Celt.

UPDATE 2: The USS Celt is now back in service under the command of Lieutenant Horatio Chen. It is crewed by an engineering team who study the sites of Borg attacks and recover any debris or technology.

USS Spartan
NCC-93447
Escort
Crew: 50

Original Crew
Commanding Officer: Lieutenant Commander Seth Drake
First Officer: Lieutenant Sun Bakk
Medical Officer: Lieutenant Kari Suter
Chief Engineer: Lieutenant Horatio Chen
Security Chief: Lieutenant V'Lock

Second Crew
Commanding Officer: Lieutenant Commander Seth Drake
First Officer: Lieutenant Sun Bakk
Medical Officer: Lieutenant Kari Suter
Chief Engineer: Lieutenant Sabin Kelinki
Security Chief: Lieutenant V'Lock
Operations: Six of Nine (formerly Lieutenant Janet Stockwell)
Helm: Junior Lieutenant Sorel

Current Crew
Commanding Officer: Lieutenant Commander Gabriel Grant
First Officer: Lieutenant Commander Sorel
Chief Engineer: Lieutenant Commander Sabin Kelinki

Where the Celt was a multipurpose tool, the USS Spartan is a scalpel. The Spartan was designed for purpose: a fast, manoeuvrable predator with massive firepower. Based on the Ushaan escort class, Lieutenant Commander Seth Drake, his first officer Sun Bakk and chief engineer Horatio Chen designed a ship that could strike fast and strike hard. Vectored nacelles were added for increased manoeuvrability.
Another key feature of the Spartan is its adaptability as a weapons platform. The engineering team, now led by Lieutenant Sabin Kelinki and Six of Nine, can change rapidly weapons both fore and aft to give a tactical advantage in an encounter. The Spartan briefly even carried a Borg cutting beam recovered during the rescue of Six of Nine (formerly Janet Stockwell). However, this was removed at Starfleet’s insistence although the ship’s former engineering chief is continuing work to adapt Borg weaponry for use on an escort class starship.
The USS Spartan and her crew have earned grudging respect among the Klingons for achieving tactical victories against much larger ships. It is rumoured some Klingon’s refer to the ship as the Little Targ.
The Spartan has achieved several victories working in tandem with the science vessel USS Atlantic under the command of Lieutenant Commander Doug Ipster.

UPDATE: The USS Spartan is now under the command of Lieutenant Commander Gabriel Grant.

USS Equestrian

Post  Seetherius on Sun Feb 07, 2010 1:46 pm

USS Equestrian, an academy training vessel

USS Equestrian
NCC-92642
Centaur Class
Crew: 200

The USS Equestrian is primary a Starfleet Academy field education ship where cadets learn under the supervision of experienced officer the daily routine onboard a Starship. It mainly remains in the Sirius Sector Block and patrols the core worlds. But even there they got cought numerous times in a suprise attack of Klingon Bird of Preys, believing the Equestrian is an old and easy target. She has proven despite it's rather old age, moderate equipment and young cadets that this ship is more capable of than initially thinking of it. She chased the Klingons always away.

USS Durandal (Nova-class)
NCC - 933357
Crew 100

The USS Durandal is a ship showing the new focus of Starfleet of maintaining war capable ship. From the proven Nova-class hull, Starfleet decided to make the Durandal an electronic warfare and sensors platform.

The Durandal is also equipped of a prototype Mk IV Paratrinic Shield Array, an EPS flow regulator system and powerful induction stabilizers.

The USS Durandal is currently assigned to Task Forces operating in Sirius and Regulus Sectors as a support ship. It was recently engaged several times in skirmishes against Klingons in the Eta Eridani Sector.

USS Toledo
NCC-91689
Akira Class
Crew: 100

Command Crew: (by Stardate 86115)
Commanding Officer: Captain Tiron Eks
Executive Officer: Commander Sadhvi Kaur Siddhu
Tactical Officer: Lieutenant Commander Navabarnsa Rajakanya
Chief Engineering Officer: Lieutenant Zim Brex
Operations Officer: Lieutenant (j.G.) Gilora Kalang
Chief Medical Officer: Commander Doctor Yaxara Seyler
Senior Science Officer: Lieutenant Commander William Hilbert
USS Toledo in spacedock

The USS Toledo is a fast responding strike cruiser of the Akira class. This type of cruiser was the answer of Starfleet's demand for maneuverable, well armed and tough ships and have proven since their deployment in the 2370s their worthiness in defending the territory of the Federation since.

The Toledo is part of the 4th series of the Akira class cruisers and has many tactical systems incorperated that were first introduced in other ship classes. Among them are regenerative shields, ablative plating and an enhanced EPS distribution system for phaser arrays.

Captain Eks has been transferred together with his senior officers abord the Toledo and are doing last preperations before they get the order to patrol the romulan border.

Her credo:
"A toledo blade is an invincible force in the hand of an expert swordsman."

USS Cossack
NCC-93305
Heavy Escort (Oslo Class)
Crew: 100

Crew
Commanding Officer: Commander Seth Drake
First Officer: Lieutenant Commander Sun Bakk
Chief Medical Officer: Lieutenant Commander Kari Suter
Chief Engineer: Lieutenant Commander Six of Nine
Security Chief: Lieutenant Commander V'Lock
Senior Science Officer: Lieutenant Zan Ohnasle
Helmsman: Lieutenant Ipek

Designed in the 2390s the Oslo class is one of the earlier heavily modular ships pushed for by Starfleet Corps of Engineers after the Dominion wars. By emphasizing on this type of design, an Oslo class starship crew is capable of rapid field repairs after battle using generally whatever components they have on hand.

The USS Cossack was deployed Iota Pavonis Sector Block engaging in skirmish after skirmish with the Romulans and Remens. Until the captain and most of the crew were lost during an engagement in the Eridan Belt. The USS Cossack was repaired and refitted and one of the most potent weapons in the sector block was in need of a new person in the captain’s chair.

The USS Cossack is a fast nimble ship able to decisively end a scrap instead of drawing it out. So when a new decisive captain was needed Commander Seth Drake was top of the list. Although sad to be separated from the USS Spartan so soon, Drake and his crew accepted they would better serve the Federation onboard the heavy cruiser.

Of Drake’s crew, Lieutenant Commander Sabin Kelinki remained as the USS Spartan’s Chief Engineer and Lieutenant Commander Sorel became its First Officer. Command of the Spartan was given to Lieutenant Commander Gabriel Grant, of the USS Independence, on Drake’s recommendation.
On the Cossack, Lieutenant Commander Six of Nine became the Chief Engineer. Lieutenants Ipek and Zan Ohnasle joined as helmsman and science officer.

NCC-92918
USS Caliburn
Miranda class

Caliburn was constructed in 2332 and after several decades of service was sent to be a school ship. Even then she was considered to be quite an antique, but her durable and sturdy design saved her from being dismantled for parts and materials. Now almost 80 years after she was constructed Caluburn was pulled out from cadet training facilities back on active duty because the new crisis forced Federation to scramble every ship possible.
Her new commander is Robert MacDougal, former supply officer from USS Independence, who is currently trying to assemble a crew and make her fit for duty. Fortunately for her and her commander, new chief engineer is upgrading her systems fast and efficiently. Unfortunately that same chief engineer is a bit too overzealous and refits sometimes fake longer than expected because chief engineer put some systems on without captain's approval, and has to take them off.
Caliburn managed to survive her first voyage after 40 years of dormancy on which the crew scanned several planets for ore deposits and avoided being blown to bits by Orion pirates because of her first officer's diplomatic skills.
Caliburn is now on her first combat assignment near neutral zone, and since crew still lacks a doctor that may prove quite dangerous task.

Commanding officer: Robert MacDougal, son of the smuggler
First officer and counselor: Diana Lyosana Bright, good natured half-Betazoid
Second officer and chief tactical officer: Aleksandra Vasilieva MacDougal, former security officer from Independence and Robert's wife
Chief medical officer: None, sickbay is currently being operated by EMH mark 2 and nurse Martha Church, a veteran nurse
Chief Engineer: Angelique Aveline, liberated Borg who often makes modifications to the ship without captain's permission

USS Paradigm

Post  Seetherius on Fri Feb 26, 2010 11:45 pm

USS Paradigm turning herself into better lightning

USS Paradigm
NCC-94341 (before redesignation: NCC-1648-E)
Galaxy Class, Exploration Cruiser
Standard Crew Complement: 1000

Command Crew: (by Stardate 86144)
Commanding Officer: Captain Tiron Eks
Executive Officer: Commander Sadhvi Kaur Siddhu
Tactical Officer: Lieutenant Commander Navabarnsa Rajakanya
Security Officer: Lieutenant (j.G.) Sydia Xitwi
Chief Engineer: Lieutenant Commander Zim Brex
Operations Officer: Lieutenant Gilora Kalang
First Medical Officer: Commander Doctor Yaxara Seyler
Senior Science Officer: Lieutenant Commander William Hilbert

First launch from the Utopia Planetia Fleetyards: November 2364

The USS Paradigm got comissioned by Starfleet in January 2365 and joined the Seventh Fleet. Under her first commanding officer, Captain Mitch Skinner, were the first assignment all exclusively routine missions. This changed suddenly when the ship was involved in a skirmish with a squadron of Romulan Warbirds and tried to annex a agrar settlement within the Neutral Zone. Captain Skinner deployed a hide and seek tactic to occupy the Romulans long enough until reinforcement arrived and forced the Romulans back in their territory. This engagement earned the Paradigm her first commendation.

Following the uneasy times in 2370s received the Paradigm various assignments, among them recon missions. Based on these assignments earned the ship an reputation and playful the nickname "Watchdog".

By the outbreak of the Dominion War participated the USS Paradigm in the opening battle of Torros III. Three months laters was the Paradigm engaged in the battle of Tyra, where the Seventh Fleet suffered a massive defeat by Dominion forces. She was one of 14 ships to survive this horrible loss. Despite the overwhelming enemy tried Captain Skinner to save as many lives as possible and rescued survivors of other heavily damaged ships. More than 2000 of Starfleet personal were rescued before she had to finally retreat. Through this received the Paradigm her 2nd commendation.
Among the other battles she participated were Operation Return, First Battle of Chin'toka and the Battle of Cardassia.

After the war returned the Paradigm to normal duties again and mainly aided Cardassia in rebuilding their civilization. By the beginning of 2380s assigned Starfleet her to the Maelstrom, a region that is habitated by the silicon based species Kessok and did primary exploration missions there.

It was in the year 2387 that Captain Skinner would have retired as commanding officer of the Paradigm and headed back to the core federation territory as then the Hobus star went supernova and destroyed Romulus. The mining ship Narada under the command of Captain Nero was on its way to Vulcan. The Paradigm was part of a task force to stop that ship as it destroyed already numerous medical ships to relief the Romulan Star Empire. The battle was quick and crushing for the task force. The superior weaponry of the Narada destroyed most ships easily and the first volley that hit the Paradigm rendered her dead in the water with heavy damage. Only the timely arrival of General Worf and his Klingon Fleet forced the Narada to pay attention on them before she could finish the Paradigm. This earned her 3rd commendation. Unfortunatly has Captain Skinner lost his life during this battle.

Since then has Vulcan Captain Sytok taken command of her after a lengthly repair and refit in the Utopia Planetia Fleetyards and she was stationed once again near the Romulan neutral zone to help in all way possible the Romulans and their lost of their homeworld.

The mid to late 2390s was dominated by constant quarrel with Nausicaans raiders, the War between the Klingon Empire and Gorn Hegemony and Romulans struggling against the Klingon Invaders and the trouble continued into the early years of the 25th century. The Paradigm was frequently answering distress calls between the Romulan/Klingon/Federation border and it happened also that she got involved in skirmishes with Klingons and their new raptor class warships, bolstering again her reputation as Watchdog.

The Klingon War started in the year 2406 and Starfleet dispatched parts of the 7th Fleet to block Klingon Invasion forces and protect the Korvat colony. Since then has the Paradigm valiantly defended Federation territory and in 2409 has Captain Sytok been promoted, which opened then a Captain seat on a ship that needs an experienced Captain. Starfleet Command decided that Captain Eks would be the best candidate for a ship with a long history of resolution and resume this also in future.
